Connecticut has deep ties to the lobster roll. In the 1920s, Harry Perry, the owner of Perry\u2019s in Milford, made what we think was the first warm lobster roll for one of his favorite customers. After more than a century, lobster rolls still play a huge part of summers here in Connecticut. Restaurants across the region serve them hot or cold, and we have a few right here in the Mystic region where you can find fresh lobster out of the shell served soaked in butter on a warm, toasty roll. Haring\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n

Offering panoramic ocean views and outdoor waterfront dining, Haring\u2019s<\/a> is the ultimate CT lobster roll destination. Formerly Ford\u2019s Lobster, Haring\u2019s is located in historic Noank, and is the newest addition to the 85th Day Restaurant Family. Inspired by a New England summer seafood shack, the menu features fresh steamed lobster, smash burgers, seafood, farm veggies and of course, lobster rolls. Haring\u2019s lobster rolls are offered two ways; classic cold lobster salad with lemon herb mayo on toasted brioche, or hot with melted lemon butter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

Abbott\u2019s Lobster<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be hard pressed to find a hot lobster roll like the one you will find at Abbott\u2019s Lobster in the Rough<\/a> in Noank, CT. To start, the lobsters are steamed in cast-iron vaults to seal in the flavor. The vaults are decades old adding to the history of the place. You can get three sizes of lobster rolls here started with a quarter-pound of meat. If you are really hungry, you can get the \u201cLOL\u201d, \u201clots of lobster\u201d with a whole pound of lobster! The buns you are going to get with your lobster roll range from the sesame-seed hamburger bun for the original, a hot dog bun for the OMG and a boule for the whopping LOL. Do you prefer a cold lobster roll? Abbot\u2019s has them and this cold lobster roll is served in a hot dog bun in Abbott\u2019s house dressing.<\/p>\n<\/div>

When you visit the S&P Oyster Co.<\/a> you will be surrounded with beautiful views with a table overlooking the Mystic River. The lobster roll is a staple on the S&P menu. There are different options to choose from including a chilled lobster roll with a little extra bite featuring lemon, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, mayo and baby arugula. Perfect to enjoy the view with a drink by your side. The hot lobster roll comes with a side of Malanga chips – if you prefer to go bunless, the chilled lobster over garden salad is a delight served in a creamy lemon vinaigrette.<\/p>\n<\/div>
